Can I specify what's in the subscribers' boxes based on date?

Most subscription boxes are set up so that everyone who subscribes or renews during a specific time period gets the same thing. For example, a "Book of the Month" club might send all its subscribers "Ready Player One" in July, and anyone signing up or renewing in August might receive "House of Leaves". In Conjured Subscriptions, we call these "date-based" shipments, since the products included in the shipment are dependent on when the shipment is charged.

To specify items based on a start and end date, go to the Subscription Box details page and clicking on the Shipments tab. 

Click the "Add Date-Based Shipment" button in the top right corner. In the form that shows up, ensure that "Shipment Type" is set to "Date-Based Shipment", then enter the start and end dates for the shipment in the following fields.

Date-based shipments will be used as the default, unless a cycle-based shipment is set to replace it.

In the case of the "Inventory Limit Applies To" setting allows you to optionally have different inventory limit rules for the initial subscription shipment than for subsequent shipments. For example, let's say you set the Inventory Limit on all your products in the shipment to be 25, meaning that if you have 25 or less of that item in inventory, it won't be included in the subscriber's shipment. If you exclude Cycle #1 from the "Inventory Limit Applies To" setting, then when the subscriber first signs up, their Cycle 1 shipment can include a product even if it has fewer than 25 left in inventory. Fill out the rest of the form as usual and hit the save button at the bottom of the screen. Now any subscriber whose shipment renews inside of the dates specified will receive the products included in this date-based shipment, unless a cycle-based shipment has been set up to override it.
