How did a customer refer themself?

Oops! Looks like a customer was able to refer themself. This can happen if a customer is able to bypass your Fraud Protection settings found in the Settings section. 

If you navigate to the Activity tab, you can see the details of the referral. 

In this example, you can see they used a different email address to gain access to their discount code, although it's clearly the same person. You'll want to navigate to your Settings and adjust your Fraud Protections settings to prevent this from happening again. In this case, blocking things like Same IP Address or Same Cookie would be a good idea, but we encourage you to adjust these according to your specific needs.
