Can my subscribers pause their shipments until a specific date?

They sure can, assuming you give them the option to do so. 

The UI/UX of the shipment management is completely up to you, however what we see most frequently is something like the following:

In this case, the merchant is giving the subscriber the option to pause their subscription for a specific number of months. Some merchants alternately offer the subscriber the ability to enter a specific date that they can pause until.

The way this feature works is that any shipments that fall before the date specified will be automatically skipped. For example, if a subscriber's next monthly shipment is scheduled for August 15, and they have opted to pause until September 1, their August 15 shipment will be skipped, and their next shipment after that will be scheduled for September 15.

To pause an upcoming shipment, open your Dashboard file in the Page Styles page of the app and find the form with id="manage-subscription-form". That form will contain a loop over all the subscriber's subscriptions (it will look something like {% for conjured_subscription_id in conjured_subscriptions %}). Inside that loop, find the following input (or add it if it doesn't exist):

To pause the upcoming shipment for a specific subscription, simply update the value of the input field for that subscription, and submit the form.
