Does Conjured Subscriptions support gifting a subscription? How does it work?

It certainly does!

The way gifting of a subscription works is as follows:

1. Your customer will select how many shipments they want to send as a gift (for example, they might opt to gift a 3-month subscription). They'll also enter the recipient's first and last name, email address, and (optionally) a gift message.

Optionally, you can offer your customer the ability to schedule the gift in advance to be sent on a specific day. This decreases the friction to purchasing a gift because your customers are able to buy gifts when they're thinking about them, rather than having to remember to come back to your store on the day of the occasion.

After filling in all the gift details and adding the gift to their cart, customers can continue shopping (adding as many gifts, personal subscriptions, or one-time products they'd like), and then proceed to checkout.

2. Once the customer completes their purchase, the gift is queued to be sent out on the scheduled day (or immediately, if no date was selected). On the scheduled day, the gift recipient will receive an email containing their gift information, along with a link to redeem their gift.

3. When the recipient clicks on the redemption link in the email, they'll be taken to your store and prompted to create an account if they don't already have one. Once they've signed in, they'll be asked to enter their shipping information, select any preferences relating to the subscription box, and click the "Redeem" button.

4. Upon redemption, a new subscription will be created for the gift recipient, owned and managed by that recipient. The subscription will be pre-loaded with credits equaling the number of shipments purchased by the gift giver - for example, if the gift giver purchased a 3-month gift, the recipient's subscription would be pre-loaded with 3 credits. In addition, the recipient's first shipment will process immediately upon redemption.

If a gift recipient wants to continue receiving their subscription after their credits run out, they will need to enter payment information and ensure that autorenew is turned on for the subscription.
